A premium and versatile soft-touch cotton paper with a sophisticated colour palette inspired by nature
Pulp-coloured paper and boards made with 40% CTMP fibres, 25% pure environmentally friendly fibres, 20% recycled material and 15% cotton fibres. The cotton fibres create roughness on the surface and pure cellulose fibres add volume and strength, making it ideal for all packaging applications.
Can be used without problems with the main printing systems: letterpress, offset, blind embossing, hot foil stamping, thermography and screen printing. Ideal for use with oxidative drying inks due to the macro-porous surface of the paper.
Varnishing and plastic laminating must be assessed in advance. The varnishing, coated with an offset machine, is almost fully absorbed and therefore does not improve gloss or protection. Screen-printing varnishing achieves better results, although it is often necessary to perform two shots to achieve a distinctly evident result.
The surface roughness, typical of uncoated papers, may give rise to micro defects with plastic laminating caused by incomplete adhesion of the film to the substrate. Good results with major processing operations such as cutting, die-cutting, scoring, folding and gluing. For packaging or book publishing, ensure that the directions of the fibres runs parallel to the main folds.
To celebrate the launch of Fedrigoni Plus, we have collaborated with leading UK-based creatives and printers to create a series of limited edition prints.
