Premium white X-PER is the ideal substrate for any graphic project.
Premium white X-PER is the ideal substrate for any graphic project.
The special finishing treatment on both sides of X-PER improves handle and ensures particularly bright and sharp printing.
Can be used without problems with the main printing systems: letterpress, offset, blind embossing, hot foil stamping, thermography and screen printing. Ideal for use with oxidative drying inks due to the macro-porous surface of the paper. Use of a moderate ink load will result in better control of setting; in this regard, good results are obtained with UCR or GCR grading to reduce the mass of ink transferred onto the paper, with screen size up to 175 lpi. Good chromatic and tone performance; ink load, dot gain and printing contrast are at the highest levels obtainable from uncoated papers.
Varnishing and plastic laminating must be assessed in advance. The varnishing, coated with an offset machine, is almost fully absorbed and therefore does not improve gloss or protection. Screen-printing varnishing achieves better results, although it is often necessary to perform two shots to achieve a distinctly evident result. The surface roughness, typical of uncoated papers, may give rise to micro defects with plastic laminating caused by incomplete adhesion of the film to the substrate. Good results are achieved with major processing operations such as cutting, die-cutting, scoring, folding and gluing.
